You need it when you need it. And there is never enough. Having parts on hand are instrumental to quick turn around for your customer. And it could mean the difference between working for the customer, or working to get them to your competitor. Our repair shop software inventory control system allows you to manage your inventory with the similar sophistication of a truck or trailer dealership. Whether you carry a small or large inventory, in our repair shop software, you can make use of our different formulas to quickly get your inventory under control. For fast moving inventory, you might want to use our usage based formula, and for slow moving parts, you can decide whether to stock them or whether your part supplier would be able to deliver them on demand.
By Product Group
Ordering by product group is easy. In our repair shop software, as long as your parts have been grouped in your item master, you can select as many groups as you want and then run the reorder report. Once the reorder has been run, you can verify it before you turn it into a purchase order.
Physical Count
Included in our repair shop software inventory control system is the capability to do physical counts. You can either roll a laptop with a scanner around your warehouse, or print scan sheets for a team of people to complete your counts. Because of the way our inventory system works, you can post and un-post a physical inventory when ever you want. We'll calculate the adjustments to get the inventory right. Plus, your accountant probably wants to see the variance too.
Returns
In the same way that we can predict what parts you might need, you can also run a returns report. We can help you check your idle inventory and make a suggestion on what you should try to return to your supplier. We can also turn the returns report into a credit PO as well.
Inventory Audit
Every inventory transaction that flows through your repair shop software shows up in our inventory audit screens. This way, you can track changes to average cost, see part issues and receiving, know what date and time, and who did the transaction. And all of this includes the capability to drill-down to the origin of the transaction.
Formulas
We have a number of formulas that you can assign to the parts in your warehouse. These include re-order based on usage (If you use one part, order another), min/max, Just-In-Time and 90-day trend (Use the last 90 days history to predict the next 30).
Barcoded
When you receive your parts and the invoice, with our repair shop software, you can print barcodes to stick on to the product you receive. This gives you a way to double-check that you received what you expected. Then, by entering the invoice number, you've created the AP needed to pay your supplier.
