I have a fuel program, can I import my fuel readings and mileage readings into EMDECS?
Yes you can. EMDECS can be configured to import fuel reading files that can record the fuel readings and mileages.
Occasionally, our units get repaired by an outside supplier, can we record the outside costs into EMDECS?
Yes you can. EMDECS can record outside repair costs and track the specific supplier invoice numbers.
How can I track my labour costs?
EMDECS utilizes a specific set of codes, VMRS (Vehicle Maintenance Repair System), that can help code the labour activities. As a result, we can produce reports
based on these codes to track cost per mile on units, costing comparisons for certain makes and models, etc.
How does EMDECS track warranty?
EMDECS can track warranty based on date range and/or by reading interval on the equipment units and parts. From this tracking, the user can also submit a warranty form to send to their supplier and also generate warranty labels to stick on the parts going back.
Does EMDECS track cores?
Yes it does. EMDECS can help users link core parts to main parts in one easy step. From this, EMDECS can also help track cores that need to be sent back to suppliers.
How does EMDECS track Preventative Maintenance?
EMDECS can track PMs by date range and/or reading interval. EMDECS will warn the user when a PM is about to be due and provide reporting to help managers bring in their units ahead of time.
How does EMDECS measure employee productivity?
EMDECS can help measure and report estimate hours vs. actual hours a mechanic spends their time.
How are costs recorded in EMDECS?
EMDECS can be customized on each or all part numbers to have the costing based on Average, Standard, Last Purchase or Last Landed costs.
How does EMDECS handle reordering of parts?
EMDECS can help reorder parts in a variety of ways. It can reorder parts based on usage by date range, min-max, or formulas based on JIT and 90 day reordering. For users who want a more automated approach, there is also the option of auto-replenishment where the system will order parts based on a daily usage directly to the sponsoring dealership.
Can I track my work-in-progress?
Yes you can. EMDECS can track which work orders are still open and because mechanic times and parts can be stated in real-time, the system can provide work-in-progress costing at any point in time. |
