Since 1994, both Joe and Kenton have been involved with the Oracle platform. We both started creating production systems on Oracle 7 and Oracle Forms 4.5, and have progressed to the current 11g Database, Weblogic 10g and JDeveloper 11g development platforms. Part of our expertise includes grid computing, which started on the Oracle 8.0.5 OPS platform on Compaq equipment. Today, we do grid computing on Dell Linux configurations and have been able to scale solutions to well over 1,000 dedicated users. When Perfit was started in 1996, we knew that we had to use Oracle to create scaleable and sustainable business applications. Hence we immediately spent the money to become an Oracle Partner, and today we continue to enjoy the privileges gained through our history and working relationship with Oracle.
We're highly involved with the Oracle technology platform, and have sent a group of people to Oracle Open World since 2005. In addition we also send people to ODTUG Kaleidoscope. A presentation was made at ODTUG in 2008. It was nominated for the top 5 speaker award, and today, the paper that was presented is still one of the top papers downloaded from ODTUG. |
